To secure our planning permission we consulted widely with local people and stakeholders over a period of years, refining our proposals considering the helpful ideas and suggestions that came forward.

Initiatives such as the Parkside Link Road – now on site – came out of the consultation process. The link road will help remove goods traffic from the local highway network, taking it to and from Junction 22 of the M6 just to the east of the site.  It’ll help with local commuter traffic flows, too.

Consultation was always face-to-face with the full project team to ensure that the public could liaise directly with us over issues, concerns, and ideas they wished to put forward.

Such openness remains a guiding principle of how we will deliver the project going forward and there will be further announcements in this regard in the near future.  This website will also be updated to facilitate on-going dialogue with local people.
