The Parkside Link Road and the 3.3km highway will link Junction 22 of the M6 motorway with the A49 and is designed to take in-bound and out-bound traffic servicing Parkside away from the local road network.
National civil engineering contractor Balfour Beatty is constructing the road on behalf of St Helens Borough Council.
You can keep up to speed with the programme of works here.
The route for the link road has been carefully considered to take into account existing road networks, topography, drainage and other issues.
The link road is set to open in Spring 2024 and will open before any of the units at Parkside are completed and available for occupation.
Funding for the road has come via a grant from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
