Link Road
The Parkside Link Road and the 3.3km highway will link Junction 22 of the M6 motorway with the A49 and is designed to take in-bound and out-bound traffic servicing Parkside away from the local road network.
National civil engineering contractor Balfour Beatty is constructing the road on behalf of St Helens Borough Council.

The route for the link road has been carefully considered to take into account existing road networks, topography, drainage and other issues.
Timing
The opening of the Link Road is subject to completion of works by Highways England at its junction with the M6, for which no firm date is yet available. The road will nevertheless be open before any of the units at Parkside are completed and available for occupation.
Funding
Funding for the road has come via a grant from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
